High-end yacht builder Oceanco is known for some of the world’s most compelling superyachts. The Dutch shipyard recently partnered with leading designers for its newest concept that will take your breath away. The 295-foot Cosmos concept is the result of the collaboration of Luiz DeBasto and Oceanco. It sports a curved, almost sportboat-like superstructure, but its most dramatic feature is the skydeck. Designed to be enclosed in thousands of square feet of glass, the appearance of the yacht will resemble that of a starship. The glass dome will reveal unrivalled views in every direction, allowing for a full immersion with the surrounding environment.
DeBasto and Oceanco are both famous for designing concepts that push the boundaries of luxury and comfort. Oceanco’s engineering department carefully studied Cosmos’s feasibility to realize it in a manner that is both functional and daring. Cosmos’s glass panels are enclosed in metal frames for extra support and the frame leans forward to enhance the structural integrity, and to improve the view. The yacht benefits from UV-protected glass, which can be dimmed or even coloured to match guests’ individual preference.
The enclosed skydeck has a flexible layout. Its long lounges in the centre and a piano bar make great use of the many feet of open space between the sole and dome above. An open observation deck with optional Jacuzzi is accessible via glass doors. There is also a large terrace – perfect for alfresco dining. The bow has a helipad for quick getaways, and an infinity pool.

Bombardier just unveiled its new Premier cabin design, which will become the standard for its Global 5000 and Global 6000 business jets. Carefully put together by some of the industry’s best designers, the new layout includes hand-stitched leather ergonomic seats that fully recline, an elegant galley with hardwood and stone flooring options, and state-of-the-art cabin technology. The latter includes a Ka-band internet connection – the fastest available for in-flight browsing, and a new Venue cabin-management system that is intuitive and powerful.
The Global 5000 has the capacity to carry up to 16 passengers comfortably. It can travel nearly 6,000 miles without having to take a stop. The Global 6000 jet, on the other hand, can fly legs up to 6,900 miles, with up to 17 passengers on board. A three-place divan on-board converts to a private berth for long trips for added comfort.
Both aircrafts boats state-of-the-art cockpits that have been upgraded with additional technology. Four large head-up displays provide the crew with synthetic vision, weather radar readings, and all the data needed for safe flights. The aircrafts benefit from advanced wing design to help ensure a smooth ride. Both aircraft cruise at speeds up to Mach 0.89.
The Global 5000 cabin is 40 feet 9 inches long, and the Global 6000 interior is 43 feet 3 inches long. The announced price for the Global 5000 is $50.4 million, and the asking price for the Global 6000 is $62.3 million.
Porsche Design has unveiled it bet timepiece yet – the Chronograph 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. It will accompany the new Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series – a powerful breathing performance car with a top speed of 330 km/h.
Porsche Design is the lifestyle brand synonymous with luxury clothing, eyewear, luggage and watches. Now, its new timepiece will coordinate with the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. The limited run of 500 cars will be offered by the famous Swabian car manufacturer later this year.
A total of 500 chronographs will be manufactured to accompany the car and will be named the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. Both the car and the watch can be further customized.
The new timepiece boasts the brand’s ‘first mechanical in-house movement’. The development of the movement, the calibre Werk 01.200, took over three years to complete. The chronograph features a flyback function, which is ideal for timing consecutive lap times or honing them to perfection.
In keeping with Porsche’s reputation for lightweight performance cars, the movement’s barrel bridge is open-worked, which gives the chronograph a lightweight appearance. In addition to this, the adoption of this new design strategy allows the barrel bridge to reveal the flyback function and gear train.
The oscillating mass is affixed with a central locking nut, which bears the Porsche coat of arms – reminiscent of the appearance of a Porsche wheel rim. Would-be buyers can customize with gold accents on the rotor or, alternatively, a completely black ensemble.

Baglietto debuted its new 157-foot superyacht Andiamo, which is an exquisite update of the brand’s classic Baglietto look with an added modern twist.
The Italian shipyard’s most recent superyacht is built for a Mexican client who plans to cruise the Mediterranean and bring the vessel back across the Atlantic. The 157-foot tri-deck yacht boasts the standard profile of Baglietto’s traditional 150-foot displacement yacht. However, the new Andiamo has a more contemporary design and various architectural elements that put it a step above its predecessor. A larger beach club, reverse-angle windshield across the helm station for better visibility, and athwartships tender garage are just some of the practical improvements that significantly enhance onboard experience and living.
The exterior and interior are designed by Francesco Paszkowski and includes a 1,500-square-foot sundeck. The top deck has an infinity pool, alfresco dining with bar and grill, and a large sunbathing area. And if that’s not enough – there is a second outdoor dining area on a lower deck forward. Guests can marvel at the panoramic sights from two open terraces – situated on either side of the cinema room in the upper saloon. A total of 3800 square feet of space for gatherings turns Andiamo into one of the most social boats in its class.

The spiral staircase is made of steel and bound in leather, connecting the three decks. The newest edition of the Avanti P.180 twin turboprop is now flying in the United States. Manufactured by Piaggio Aerospace in Italy, it was delivered to West Coast Aviation Services, at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. The P.180 boasts unique aerodynamic performance, based on its three-lifting-surface configuration.
Evo, the third generation of the P.180 design, has been updated with five-blade scimitar propellers to improve performance. New cabin layouts, and added safety systems create an array of travelling options. The airplane is quieter and more fuel-efficient, and the service and support network has improved. The ceiling is 5 feet 9 inches in height with a custom interior that accommodates eight in VIP seating. New leather seats by Iacobucci recline and rotate fully, and there are plenty of fold-down tables, adjustable lighting, connectivity, and baggage space. Low noise levels and a cabin altitude of just 6,600 feet help minimize passenger fatigue. Evo is able to cruise at speeds up to 463 mph for more than 1,900 miles.
A wing mounted on the tail in combination with the powerful turboprop engines creates the aerodynamic boost to add up to more efficiency in flight. The aircraft also burns less fuel and has lower operating costs per hour compared to traditional aircraft of similar size.
West Coast Aviation Services says it plans to add at least four more Evos to its fleet, to use them for both charter and fractional ownership programs. The airplane sells for about $7.7 million.
Rolls-Royce has just unveiled the most expensive car ever built – a one-off custom creation called the Sweptail. At a reported price of nearly $13 million, it far surpasses the previous leader in the category – the $3 million Bugatti Chiron.
Still, Rolld-Royce’s newest addition will not be as expensive as the costliest $38 million Ferrari 250 GTO, but it will retail in the price range of brand-new Chirons. The Sweptail represents a return to prominence for the brand’s time-honored coach-building business. Described as the automotive equivalent of haute couture, Sweptail was designed and hand-tailored to fit a specific customer.
The concept for the Sweptail came to life thanks to an anonymous client, who approached the brand with a unique request in 2013. The wealthy connoisseur of super-yachts and aircrafts requested a unique car inspired by luxury yachts of the 1920s and ’30s. The result is a vehicle that erases the difference between driving and sailing as it brings them together in one smooth experience.
It is the result of four years of meticulous work and uncompromising craftsmanship. The Sweptail’s signature feature is the single-piece glass roof, which tapers into the car’s fastback rear end. This bold design feature dominates the car’s silhouette. Technical specs of the car have not yet been released, but it’s believed to be based on the current-generation Phantom platform. If this is true, this means some version of the company’s 6.75-liter V-12 is most likely to be found under its long bonnet.
Reported price for the new model will start at £10 million – roughly $12.83 million – although this is yet to be confirmed.
Ellen DeGeneres has put her spectacular Villa – The Montecito estate on the market for $45 million. The price is up from the $26.5 million DeGeneres reportedly bought it for in 2012 due to a host of renovations over the past 5 years.
The estate has its private drive that ends at the 18th-century Spanish gates. Twisting eucalyptus and olive trees surround the main six-bedroom home, which comprises a 10,500-square-foot, two-story abode built in the 1930s. Designed by master architect Wallace Frost, it is built from local stone with a barrel-tiled roof.
Now, the estate includes the adjacent properties and has been expanded to a total of 17 acres. There is an entertainment pavilion called Jordan Hall, which was inspired by the main house. The open-concept pavilion consists of a cream-colored pool table, cantilevered stone bar, and fireplace.

Luxury carmaker Porsche has followed other supercar brands like Mercedes-AMG and Aston Martin into the world of yachts. The brand’s first venture onto high seas is the spectacular GTT 115 Hybrid -developed in collaboration with Monaco-based boat builders Dynamiq.
At 115-feet in length, the new vessel has plenty of room for several spacious cabins. Open to customizations, it can be finished with carbon fibre and marble detailing throughout. Furnishings will be finished with the same material as the seats in the Porsche 911 R. Both the exterior and interior design has been done by Studio F.A. Porsche. As a result, the GTT 115 Hybrid shows off quite a few design cues usually found on Porsche’s road cars and is aggressive and elegant. The rear end of the yacht mimics the rear hatch of a 911 complete with the signature tail light. Its fast-displacement, lightweight aluminium hull will offer racing-inspired performance and comfortable, high-speed cruising.
The Dynamiq GTT 115 Hybrid is powered by twin 1626bhp MAN diesel engines together with a hybrid power system with a set of 45kW Fischer Panda variable-speed generators. The top speed is 21 knots (38.89km/h) and its range – 6,296 kilometres.
With only seven vessels scheduled for production, buyers will want to get in line early to book a slot for the £10-million yacht. However, Dynamiq is planning on rolling out smaller 100-foot and 85-foot versions of the Porsche-inspired yacht later. Interested parties will be able to catch a glimpse of first models of the GTT 115 models at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show in September.
